【VIRTUAL GIRL @ WORLD’S END】A New Girls’ Project from the Creators of “BanG Dream!” Don’t Miss the Songs Echoing Through a Ruined World—“VIRTUAL GIRL @ WORLD’S END” Has Finally Arrived!

2025-07-05
Once bustling, Tokyo of the future is now enveloped in silence and ruins. “VIRTUAL GIRL @ WORLD’S END” is a story about girls who live and fight with their voices and presence in such an apocalyptic world. As a new girls’ project from Bushiroad—the creators of “BanG Dream!” and “Revue Starlight”—expectations for this title were high even before its launch. But once I actually played it, I was taken aback by the completeness of its worldbuilding and direction.

First and foremost, we must talk about the high level of visual quality. The heroines, designed by Osamu Nobusawa, the art director of “BanG Dream!”, shine with remarkable presence even in a world full of despair. The detailed rendering, expressive faces, and poses that bring out each character’s individuality— Every single illustration has such high quality that it feels like it’s moving despite being a still image, with over 50 pieces of artwork vividly coloring the story.
Breathing life into the characters are three rookie voice actresses who passed a rigorous audition. Azusa Tachibana, Hina Tachibana, and Mei Tachibana each play one of the heroines, and the entire story is presented in full voice, a luxurious feature. Moreover, talented veterans like Aina Suzuki and Aguri Onishi join as supporting characters, delivering an extremely satisfying auditory experience. The emotional highs and lows of each character contrast perfectly with the heavy backdrop of a post-apocalyptic world, further enhancing the immersive storytelling.
Furthermore, live scenes are inserted into the story where the heroines actually sing and perform on stage. These are exceptionally engaging, going beyond mere in-game cutscenes to deliver the immersive feeling of watching a full-fledged music video. The songs are also of high quality, combining powerful sound with dazzling visuals, making them irresistibly replayable.

The true essence of this work lies in the fusion of two contrasting elements: “desolation” and “brilliance.” In this heavy, apocalyptic setting, high-spirited girls appear, sing, dance, and connect with one another emotionally. This contrast makes the work stand out in its uniqueness and leaves a lasting impression on the player’s heart. If you're looking to step into a world unlike our own and experience a richly emotional drama, “VIRTUAL GIRL @ WORLD’S END” is sure to fulfill that desire.
In a world coming to an end, the voices and songs of these girls echo through. It may not be just a story, but a form of “hope” that awakens something we've long forgotten.
