Hello everyone~! Why am I suddenly talking about this? Well, the game maker we're introducing today apparently has someone who was involved in the production of STEINS;GATE as its CEO! Oh, I forgot to introduce myself - I'm Saori from Retro Video Game Republic!

What is MAGES.?

MAGES. is a game maker born from the merger of two companies, established in 2011. The CEO is Chairman Shikura Chiyomaru-San, and President Honjou Kengou-San.
t was established by Dwango, famous for Nico Nico Douga, and Cultural Broadcasting for content distribution and event management related to anime and games. It was once a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dwango under KADOKAWA but became fully independent in 2019.
On March 30, 2020, Colopl acquired all the shares, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary. Currently, MAGES. supports the release of software from 5pb., which exists as a label. So, MAGES. is also involved in the development of titles previously released by 5pb.
It's a game company that was very recently established, isn't it?
Yes! While they have their own developed titles, they also assist with the release of 5pb.'s software, thanks to the connection with Shikura Chiyomaru-San. So when you look at the software lineup, you'll find several familiar game titles!
