UBISOFT is a major French game maker.

Established in 1986. In Japan, it became familiar as a corporate entity with the establishment of UBISOFT Co., Ltd. in 1994.

It produces many original titles, including major works like “Assassin's Creed” and “Rainbow Six.” These games offer a movie-like dynamic and expansive world and setting. Many are open-world games where players join the resistance in a closed area dominated by someone, gradually strengthening the protagonist and eliminating enemies on the map to advance the story.

The name UBISOFT comes from the word “ubiquity” (to exist everywhere), conceived by one of its founders, Gerard, with the idea that “(UBISOFT's games) should be everywhere in the world.”
