SNK Playmore is the former name of the current SNK (the second iteration of SNK).
Founded in 2001. It was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the old SNK, which was at risk of bankruptcy at the time. The initial company name was simply “Playmore,” but in October 2001, it acquired all the intellectual property rights of the bankrupt old SNK and officially started as the successor company.
While developing games in various genres, it entered the pachinko industry in 2004. In 2016, the company name was changed to SNK Corporation, leading to the current SNK.
Hmm, so it's like the predecessor of the current SNK, huh?
Yes! Since games released during about 15 years of activity have the SNK Playmore brand, this time we want to introduce the games that were released during that period in the software lineup!
