What is the Nintendo DS?

Released in 2004, it became widely popular both domestically and internationally as the first device in the Nintendo DS series.
Games and related products in the Nintendo DS series were released over a long span of 12 years, until 2016, and enjoyed strong sales globally.

Features include two screens, a touchscreen, voice recognition via a microphone, and various other functions such as StreetPass, all packed into a compact gaming console.
