● What is Eidos Interactive?

Eidos Interactive was a game maker that once existed.

The Japanese corporation was established in 1998. From around 2002, they started selling games developed in-house, such as creating and selling Tomb Raider.

From 2005 to 2006, the Japanese corporation showed movements such as changing its partners, and in 2009 it was absorbed by SQUARE ENIX HOLDINGS. Since then, it has been operating as part of Square Enix Europe (officially Square Enix Ltd.).

I see! So, it's not that they went out of business, but their management changed through a merger into SQUARE ENIX.
