Atari Japan is the Japanese branch of the foreign game manufacturer, Atari.
Atari, a game company, was founded in the United States in 1973.
Its own games became hits, and a branch was established in Japan in 1973.
Afterwards, they continued searching for a Japanese game company partner to co-manage, but for various reasons, they had difficulty finding one.
During that process, they acquired various game development know-hows and managed to develop their own unique game software.
Later, as the headquarters' management scaled down, the software released from Atari Japan also decreased.
