King Records is Japan's largest record company.
Established in 1931, King Records has released popular songs and military tunes since before World War II, evolving with changing times through different names and music offerings.
The company was re-established as the current King Records around 1951.
At one time, King Records included game music in their lineup, producing music for game companies like Dragon Quest series, Falcom, and Konami.
From the 1980s to around 2005, they were also involved in game software sales. The titles we're introducing today were released during this period.

Whaaaat!!! I didn't know that! ......Well, it's true that their image as a record company is strong, but if you told me they used to sell game software, I'd believe it because they are such a big company.
Yes, and rather than self-produced games, they often released games based on characters from anime and manga that were airing at the time. So, if you're a fan of retro anime or manga, you should definitely check out the games King Records released!
Still thriving as Japan's largest record company!
