KOTOBUKI System is a currently dormant game developer.
Founded in 1984, it was established to develop and sell computer software, with the assistance of Kotobuki Engineering, a subsidiary of the Japanese computer company Kotobuki Kogyo.
Around 1985, they started developing, planning, and selling home console games. Initially, they sold localized versions of foreign games, but later moved on to original game development.
Currently, due to a reorganization of the Kotobuki Group, the parent company, its main business of game development and sales has been transferred to other divisions, leading to its dormancy. The game development and sales are now handled by Kemco, a game development brand owned by the Kotobuki Group.

Didn’t we talk about Kemco before?
Yes, we did! I remember!
So, can we think of Kemco and KOTOBUKI System as brands under the same corporate umbrella?
Yes, that’s right! They operated within the same business area, so the business naturally transitioned from KOTOBUKI System to Kemco.
