OneorEight is a company that stands out as a uniquely creative force in the gaming and entertainment industries. Their creativity and drive to take on challenges form the core of their appeal. In this article, we’ll explore OneorEight’s journey and distinct charm, as if sharing the story with a friend.
The biggest draw of OneorEight lies in their team spirit. A group of diverse talents comes together to create things they truly find “fun!” Notable works include “Touhou Danmaku Kagura Fantasia Lost” and “LOST EPIC”, and they’ve boldly ventured into other fields, such as Vtuber content. Their activities are all about “creating excitement.” We can expect more fresh challenges to emerge in the future.
Though OneorEight now boasts a stellar record of achievements, their beginnings were surprisingly humble. Founder Issei Komura faced conflicts at his previous company and started the business with neither funding nor an office. The story of him developing games on a park bench with a MacBook is enough to inspire anyone.
Amid these tough circumstances, a glimmer of hope came in the form of a loan from the Japan Finance Corporation, allowing them to advance step by step. This story truly embodies the phrase “starting from zero.” By believing in their passion, even during hardships, they’ve achieved the success they have today.

OneorEight’s turning point came when they received a development request from NHN Japan. Even after the project ended, they used the experience and results as a stepping stone to find a new base of operations and continue their activities. Additionally, former employees of Imageepoch joined the team, further strengthening their collective abilities.
Each encounter and experience has shaped their future, showcasing the fascinating role of fate in their journey.

OneorEight excels in both original title development and contract work. Their title “EARTH WARS” was released across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, and its pricing strategy also drew attention. On the other hand, they’ve worked on major titles like Square Enix’s “Final Fantasy VII Remake” and TYPE-MOON’s “Fate/Grand Order”.
Their ability to balance originality and contract development, while showcasing a wide range of skills, is a uniquely appealing aspect.

Having overcome hardships and consistently taken on challenges, they are sure to deliver more surprises and excitement in the future.
OneorEight’s history is a series of challenges. The experience they’ve gained through this journey and their team cohesion serve as the driving forces behind their unique projects and works.
