What is GAME BOY?

GAME BOY is a handheld game console released by Nintendo Co., Ltd. in 1989.
It is a handheld game system that uses a ROM exchange system and adopts a monochrome type (4 shades) due to the balance of battery life and price.
Initially, even Nintendo Co., Ltd., who was developing the Super Famicom, was unsure if it would be accepted worldwide, but it shipped nearly 50 million units globally.
It was the first in the later Game Boy series, and this series was released by Nintendo Co., Ltd. over 17 and a half years until 2006, becoming a beloved handheld game console not only in Japan but around the world.
Rather than long scenario games, memories are left with RPGs, simulation games, and action games!

My memory might be personal, but instead of enjoying long scenario games on GAME BOY, RPGs, development games, and action games with interesting systems are what left an impression on me.

●Saori played these games a lot! How nostalgic~!

I think there were plenty of games with good scenarios on GAME BOY as well.
saori/smile
Of course, I think so too! I might have phrased it poorly, but it's not that there weren't any good scenario games. Rather, in later generations, many novel games, otome games, and simulation games were released, so I feel like there were many games that were simple but had innovative systems and fascinating worldviews, not games that made you read such text.
boss
That's true. On GAME BOY's small screen, displaying a lot of text would be tiring to read, and rather, works that were hit for their worldviews, systems, and understandability were more common...... or rather, it was a generation where many gems that would later become the basis for all released games were born.

That's right! So, everyone, please take a look at the GAME BOY lineup and get excited like me, saying “Wow! I played this!” Just looking at the lineup is really fun, so please enjoy!
