So, this time! I'd like to introduce a game company that is now known as KOEI TECMO GAMES, but once operated under the name TECMO! There are quite a few famous masterpieces, so I think many of you will know them!

What is TECMO?

TECMO was a game company that existed in the past. Founded in 1964, it initially started as a building management company but expanded into arcade game development after changing its name in 1977, following a stint in amusement facility management.
From there, in 1986, the company changed its name to TECMO and officially entered the game software development business, becoming known as a game maker as it is today. In 2010, a merger with Koei led to the establishment of KOEI TECMO GAMES, under which it currently operates as a game company.
So, TECMO was involved in entirely different things in the past.
