[Unrailed 2] Chaotic battles in new environments!?
Intense 8-player versus mode battles against opposing teams
are now possible!
Fully enjoy the further evolved Unrailed 2!

”Wait, the train is coming and we're still short on tracks!?” Such exchanges naturally fly around in Unrailed 2: Back on Track—that's the real thrill. Despite the simple rule of laying tracks while the train is moving, playing it is incredibly busy. While everyone has a role—cutting wood, transporting resources, or laying tracks—the situation changes moment by moment. The sense of speed, where ”wait a second” doesn't work, makes this more than just a simple co-op game. Before you know it, you're desperately playing while laughing, and that feeling is irresistible.
What makes this work interesting is that no two playthroughs are ever the same. In addition to the auto-generated world, the story changes based on player choices, so there's always the discovery of ”it was like this before, but it's different this time.” Unexpected events happen in new biomes, and encounters with side quests and powerful enemies await. Even the time spent worrying over whether to take this route or choose another path is fun. It feels less like a mere action game and more like you're spinning your own little adventure tale together.
One of the charms is that the more you play, the more new elements are unlocked. Not only are abilities strengthened through upgrades, but the structure and performance of the train itself also change. When you feel that ”we were struggling a moment ago, but now we've got this,” you can clearly sense your own growth. And even if you break the train, the game is designed so that even that becomes a lesson for the next time. Because failure isn't wasted, you naturally feel like saying, ”let's go one more time.”
In the newly added mode, you can also create your own maps. Designing while thinking, ”what would happen with this kind of terrain?” offers a different kind of fun from playing, and being able to share those maps with other players is also a draw. Conversely, even if you're not good at creating them yourself, you can play unique maps made by others, so you almost never get bored. Being able to be both a player and a creator is one of the reasons for its high replayability.
If you think, ”it's just a co-op game, right?” you'll be betrayed in a good way. In the versus mode for up to 8 players, the competition with other teams heats up instantly. Since victory or defeat depends on how efficiently you can lay tracks and how well you can coordinate, the quality of teamwork is directly reflected in the results. Furthermore, with a ranking function included, the desire to ”aim higher” naturally wells up. It's a luxury to experience both the fun of cooperation and the tension of competition.
If I were to describe this game in one word, it would be a mysterious experience where ”chaos is fun.” Even while being chased by busyness, the sense of exhilaration when you're perfectly in sync with your teammates is exceptional. Moments where you'll want to look back and think, ”that coordination was great,” occur time and again. Because the balance between simple controls and deep progression is exquisite, it's a blast no matter who you play with. It's a title with that kind of charm.
