At first glance, “OFF” looks like a simple RPG. While he appears kind, he also has many mysteries, and his presence grows larger and larger as the story progresses. Conversations with him are not mere explanations but important clues for understanding this world itself, so you will not want to miss a single word or phrase.
In the new version, the combat system has been revamped, offering a fresh feeling to battles with enemies. Combat against spectres is not a mere level-grinding task, but functions as an element that further enhances the eerie atmosphere of the story. Once you begin to think about the reason for the enemies' existence and their relationship with the world, the combat itself starts to look like a part of the story, which is an interesting aspect. The power wielded by the Batter also possesses a unique weight, leaving not just a sense of achievement but complex emotions every time you win.
In this new version, new areas and bosses have been added by the hands of the creator, Mortis Ghost, himself. For those who know the original work, an unknown experience awaits, and for those touching it for the first time, the content allows them to enjoy the world of the work in a highly perfected form from the very beginning. The additional elements do not stop at a mere volume increase but play a role in further deepening the unique atmosphere held by the work “OFF,” making it a point that cannot be missed for both old and new fans alike.
There are countless RPGs in the world, but “OFF” is a work that stands in a special position among them.
