【Indie Game】 A giant girl's question; if you get it wrong, you, a dwarf... While protecting your own life, support the lives of your small neighbors. A story where gentleness and cruelty coexist, SAEKO: Giantess Dating Sim gets a physical release!

“When I woke up, a giant girl was looking down at me.” Just a single sentence like that is enough to draw interest, but “SAEKO: Giantess Dating Sim” is not a work that ends with just that setup. The stage is set in 2000s Japan. As one of the dwarfs who has become as small as a thumb, the protagonist begins living in the desk drawer of a girl named Saeko who possesses mysterious powers. At first glance, it might seem like a slightly unusual fantasy work, but as the story progresses, peaceful daily life and an indefinable tension mingle exquisitely, drawing you into a unique atmosphere where “it wouldn't be strange no matter what happens in this world.” Contrary to its cute appearance, because a situation where life-threatening danger is constantly right beside you continues, the player naturally sharpens their nerves at each and every event.

In the daytime part, you will act as a manager who organizes the dwarfs. It is not just a matter of getting along well, but allocating items while considering each of their statuses such as physical strength and charm, making who to prioritize and what kind of judgments to make important. Even if you want to save everyone, things do not go as intended, and there are many scenes where a single choice changes someone else's fate. That is precisely why weight naturally emerges in your own decisions. Rather than a simple nurturing or simulation game, there is a sense of tension as you keep searching for the best within a limited environment, making it a work where you naturally empathize with each and every dwarf while playing.
When the sun sets, the atmosphere of the game changes greatly. The time spent stepping out of the drawer and exchanging conversation with Saeko might seem like a peaceful interaction at first glance. However, the moment you forget that you are an excessively small existence, that carelessness easily becomes fatal. While responses center around short ones like “Yes” or “No,” that single word can lead to an unexpected outcome, requiring you to carefully choose your words while constantly probing the other person's feelings. Because conversation itself acts as a tactical negotiation, even without large movements on screen, tension naturally rises, leaving you pondering “How should I answer next?”
What is indispensable when talking about this work is its impressive visual expression. Two types of pixel art with different atmospheres are used appropriately, and the impression received changes greatly depending on the scene. While being pixel art that evokes a sense of nostalgia somewhere, through fine directing, the emotions and atmosphere of the characters are carefully depicted, so the player naturally immerses themselves in the story. Furthermore, an original soundtrack influenced by Future Garage and Breakcore wraps around the entire work, skillfully producing an unsettling and fantastical atmosphere. By combining visuals and music, the unique worldview characteristic of this work leaves a stronger impression.
