What is Family Computer?

Family Computer is a home gaming console released by Nintendo Co., Ltd.
Family Computer was released by Nintendo Co., Ltd. in 1983 as a home gaming console. It was developed using the latest technology funded by the profits from the successful “Game & Watch” handheld game business.
At that time, it was designed with the aim of achieving performance that could play “Donkey Kong,” a hugely popular arcade game, at home.
While its specs may seem quite low from today's perspective, at the time, they were considered high, and it sold a total of 61.91 million units worldwide (including the overseas NES version).
I didn't have one in my house, but I remember seeing it on the shelf at my cousin's house.
Recently...... well, not too recently, but wasn't there a small Family Computer released a little while ago?
Yes, there was! It's the NES Classic Edition, which started selling in 2016! (It is currently discontinued.)
With the release of this NES Classic Edition, Family Computer software has been digitized, so even if you don't have a Family Computer, you can experience the atmosphere of the time. However, there are still some software that you cannot play. Please check such software from this Family Computer page's lineup!
