NEC Avenue was a company that once existed.
Established in 1987 as a record company within the NEC Group, it was a subsidiary of NEC (Nippon Electric Company), a Japanese electronics manufacturer that still exists today.
Not only did they develop video game software, but they also sold music software. They released many titles for the PC Engine, which was developed by NEC Home Electronics, also under the NEC Group.
Their software lineup included not only their own developed series but also ported versions of arcade games from companies active at the time, such as Sega, Capcom, and Taito.
