Athena was a game maker that once existed.
Founded in 1987, it was established by employees who belonged to TAITO CORPORATION and operated Athena-owned game centers in the metropolitan area.
It was particularly renowned for developing and releasing Mahjong games, producing numerous masterpieces.
Athena collaborated with other companies on many games and released various genres, but filed for bankruptcy in 2013.
