What is the PC Engine?

The PC Engine is a home gaming console co-developed by Hudson Soft Company, Limited and NEC-HE.

It was released in 1987, making it a contemporary of the Family Computer, which was released in 1983.
A notable feature is that it was half the size of the Family Computer available at the time. While other consoles were using 8-bit graphics, the PC Engine used 16-bit graphics.
