SEGA SATURN is a home gaming console released by SEGA CORPORATION.
It was released in Japan in 1994, and along with it, two compatible devices were also launched.
Globally, it was not one of SEGA's best-selling consoles, but in the Japanese market, it was the most successful home console released by SEGA.
Interestingly, the name SEGA SATURN comes from it being SEGA's sixth consumer game console. It is named after Saturn, the sixth planet in the solar system.
